Our Guest Instructors
We are thrilled to announce that two RITA winners will be our guest instructors at Misque this year! RITA is the highest award of the Romance genre.
How many times have you wished you had one of your favorite authors sitting right there beside you, giving you advice on your manuscript? At Misque, we strive to create an intimate atmosphere, where published authors can share their secrets with unpublished authors.
This year we are honored to have not one, but two award winning authors as guest instructors.
Robin D. Owens writes fantasy/futuristic romance, and was one of the first authors to be published by Harlequin’s new fantasy imprint Luna. She has won over a dozen awards for her books, including the RITA 2002 award for Best Paranormal Romance, several P.E.A.R.Ls and the Lungfish Award for being named Writer of the Year by the Denver Area Science Fiction Association (DASFA). She also rescues stray cats, who occasionally wander into the pages of her books.

She won her RITA for Best Novel with Romantic Elements, the Golden Quill for Best Novella, two RT Reviewer's Choice awards for Best Historical Mystery of the year and Best Historical Romantic Adventure. She builds adorable dollhouses, sometimes settings found in her novels, and complete with miniature meals.
